Legal eagle Helen lands on Solihull BID Board
Helen Gamble, our Practice Manager, has joined the board of Solihull Business Improvement District with the aim of working with the BID to promote the wide range of businesses located in the town centre, with a particular emphasis on Solihull’s wealth of professional service firms.
Helen has been with us for six years following a career as an operational research and computer systems consultant with British Leyland Systems and Istel. Her husband’s job took them from their home in Catherine de Barnes to Halifax in North Yorkshire, before returning back to Solihull in 1991.
Married with two adult children, Helen’s career also included a few years as a lay inspector of schools under the OFSTED system before she joined Wallace Robinson and Morgan’s offices on Drury Lane in 2006.
A warm welcome from Shirley of BID
Said Shirley “Helen will be a fantastic addition to the BID Board. Her broad business experience and diverse skill set will add real value to board discussions as we push forward with a number of important projects for the town centre. Helen is also already actively involved with a number of BID projects and has a genuine passion for Solihull and the businesses located here.”
Helen added “I’ve got to know the BID over the past couple of years through the Business Exchange Card scheme, networking events and Marketing Forum. The BID team are doing a fantastic job raising the profile of Solihull and I am keen to get more involved in helping to attract businesses to the area and to promote the wealth and variety of businesses already here across all sectors.”
Following the departure of BID Chair Richard Dearden, MD of John Lewis - Solihull in September, recruitment is also underway for a replacement, with an announcement expected in January.
