Solihull the best place to live in Britain

We already knew it, but Solihull is now recognized as the best place to live in the UK.

uSwitch Quality of Life Index 2013

USwitch, the online utilities comparison website has announced the results of their national survey based on a quality of life index.

The criteria used in the survey included:

• Income
• Living costs
• Crime
• Employment rate
• Education
• Exam results
• House prices
• Mortality rates
• Life expectancy

There were also a range of other factors used, such as car insurance premiums, broadband speeds and even average annual sunshine!

The original uSwitch survey which was reported in the National (Daily Mail and Independent) and local press (Birmingham Post) provides a welcome opportunity for Silhillians to celebrate the borough getting the recognition it deserves.

Rush for homes in the area
