Race for life 2013 update
As you may know from our previous Race for Life post, some of our staff took part in the Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life on Sunday 23rd June 2013.
The all-female event attracted a huge turnout and had a great atmosphere, with all money raised being donated to Cancer Research UK.
Not natural athletes - honest
None of us are what you’d think of as natural athletes so we didn’t really run the full 5K.
However, our power-walking technique served us well and we even managed a sprint for the finish.
Everyone completed the course in very respectable times.
Raised over £750
We had great support from friends, family and colleagues and raised over £750 in sponsorship.
Sophie Murtough, one of our trainees, was responsible for organising our efforts. She was delighted to hand over our sponsorship money to John Goodman, Chairman of the Solihull Vision Team fundraising group – a local group that raises money for Cancer Research UK.
A huge thank you!
Well done to everyone involved and a big thank you to everybody who supported us.
