Small Business Saturday is on 6th December
The ‘Black Friday’ crush is over for another year.
Large businesses and consumer giants are gathering their breath and counting their profits. They might even be looking forward to next year already.
Now small business owners across the country are hoping the support for them can gain a similar momentum. They too want to attract consumers. Hoping they’ll spend their hard-earned cash in local and smaller stores and offices.
Cheapest is not always best
The support they are looking for should not go hand-in-hand with the desire to find the cheapest anything, biggest bargain or most competitive, latest-and-greatest thing, regardless of whether you need it or not.
Instead it should show recognition that local, small businesses offer quality, provide services, and support their customers in a way that the bigger businesses never can.
Small Business Saturday
Small Business Saturday isn’t looking for a mad dash or to whip people into a frenzy. It isn’t about seeing consumers tearing chunks off each other in a bid to empty the shelves.
Quite simply, Small Business Saturday wants to open people’s eyes to a different, refreshing way of shopping, not just for one day but all year round.
As a small business, we lend our support
As a small business ourselves, and with many small business clients, Wallace Robinson fully supports this campaign and have recently taken part in the Small Business Saturday Bus Tour to encourage consumers get on board (excuse the pun)!
So as you prepare for Christmas, give local a go.
See how that stressful shopping experience can be transformed by personal service, quality unique goods. Feel better about yourself by helping your local economy and community at the same time.
