A thank you to Valerie Warner from the Solicitors for the Elderly
Valerie Warner, head of the Wills, Trust and Probate Department at Wallace Robinson & Morgan, retired from her position as Treasurer of the Birmingham Branch of Solicitors for the Elderly at their Annual General Meeting in July.
She was delighted to receive a lovely bouquet of flowers as a thank you gift from the group.
Solicitors for the Elderly
Solicitors for the Elderly are a national group of solicitors and other professionals specialising in work dealing exclusively with elderly client issues. These include wills, mental capacity, Powers of Attorney and Deputyship Orders.
Valerie has acted as Treasurer for the Birmingham Branch of the Group since its inception many years ago, but recently stood down “to let someone else have a go”.
Valerie comments, “I have been privileged to work so closely in the organisation of meetings and events for the Birmingham branch of this very worthy Society. It has been a great pleasure and I have learnt a lot from my fellow committee members (past and present) all of whom are very learned in this field and very committed to supporting elderly clients”.
The new Treasurer
Fortunately, Valerie has passed the baton of Treasurer to her colleague in Wallace Robinson & Morgan’s Private Client Department, Ruth Nolan. Another colleague, John Padget has also become a committee member.
Valerie said, “I am delighted that my colleagues at Wallace Robinson & Morgan are continuing to have a presence and a voice at Solicitors for the Elderly in Birmingham”.
