Louise joined us in April 2015 as a paralegal specialising in commercial property. She is now a trainee solicitor within our firm.
She has a very interesting CV, having taken an unusual route into law. This route has given her a unique set of skills and experience that will make her a real asset to the firm.
Having completed a BA Honours Politics degree in 1998, Louise spent 15 months travelling the world and working in Australia where she developed her passion for sport.
On her return to the UK, she embarked upon a career in sports management and personal training/coaching. She became a Lecturer in Sports Science and Sports Development, specialising in teaching anatomy and physiology for several years after completing a BSc Honours degree with a focus on health sciences and sport.
After teaching public law modules as part of her lecturing, Louise rediscovered her interest in law which had been ignited during her politics degree.
She began studying the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) in 2014 at The University of Law in Birmingham. She was studying the GDL on a part-time basis which gave her the opportunity to use and develop her skills and knowledge in the work place whilst gaining her academic qualifications.
She has now passed her GDL with a commendation and will start studying (again on a part-time basis) the 2 year Legal Practice Course in September 2016.
Louise has now started her training contract with Wallace Robinson & Morgan and hopes to qualify as a solicitor in 2019. She is working alongside the solicitors within our family law department as part of her training programme.
Louise is also working as part of the busy Plot Sales team who handle the conveyancing work of the apartment sales of a large number of property developments around the country.
A little more about Louise
Louise leads a very busy life as a Mum of three young children, including twins. She loves spending time with her family, particularly outdoors and has a passion for fitness.
In her very limited spare time she teaches fitness classes, enjoys running half marathons and muddy runs (obstacle races) as well as keeping fit with kettlebells. Louise also played women’s football for several years and is an avid Tottenham Hotspur fan.
We think that all goes to show that she loves to keep busy, both in mind and body!
